WALLINGFORD, CT -- Amphenol today reported sales increased 15% to a record $1.55 billion in the second quarter.
Net profit rose 15.6% to $208.7 million for the period ended June 30.
Growth in information technology and data communications, mobile networks, industrial, broadband, automotive and mobile devices markets boosted revenues at the printed circuit board and connector maker during the period.
The results includes sales and charges related to the acquisition of FCI Asia on Jan. 8, 2016.
In a statement, Amphenol president and chief executive Adam Norwitt said, “We are very pleased to report results above the high end of our guidance for the second quarter 2016, with record sales of $1.548 billion We achieved these results despite the ongoing uncertainty in the global economy.
He guided for third quarter sales in the range of $1.54 billion to $1.58 billion and full year sales of $6.12 billion to $6.2 billion, up 10% to 11% over 2015.
