TORONTO – Firan Technology Group’s circuits segment posted sales up $3.3 million year-over-year, or 31%, in the third quarter of 2015.
On a year-to-date basis, circuits segment sales were up $7.4 million, or 23%.
Total company sales for the third quarter ended Aug. 28 were up 23% year-over-year to $18.2 million.
Firan recorded total profit of $1.6 million, an increase of 647% compared to the third quarter of 2014.
Third quarter aerospace segment sales were $4.3 million, up 3% year-over-year.
On a year-to-date basis, aerospace sales were up $1.7 million, or 15%.
"The third quarter of 2015 saw continued strong performance for FTG as a result of past investments in technology, positive impacts from past key new program wins, as well as the strengthening of the US dollar," said Brad Bourne, president and CEO. “In the quarter, development continued on control panel assembly programs for the Chinese C919 aircraft and another helicopter related program for a US customer."
FTG’s year-to-date sales were $53.3 million, up 20.6%. The company’s year-to-date profit was $3.1 million, an increase of 210.3% compared to the same period last year.
