ARLINGTON, VA -- ADIVA and Cadence Design Systems have signed a joint marketing agreement to offer a seamless process flow for validated PCB design.
The companies said they would work together to address customer requirements for PCB designs that meet design, manufacturing and assembly requirements with higher first-pass yields. The effort will lead to improved front-end design validation, in which PCB tests are performed before a design is sent to be manufactured.
In a statement, HP prototype program manager Letha Rousseau said, "I am pleased to hear that ADIVA and Cadence are joining forces to provide an integrated solution to enhance our design capabilities. Our company uses both solutions currently. I see this collaboration as a very positive step in our ability to meet HP's complex design requirements."
ADIVA president John Milks said, "This agreement ensures a high level of commitment from both parties to meet the needs of PCB designers. The result will be a significant savings of cycle time and money for our customers."
ADIVA develops design checking software for PCB design. Cadence is one of the world's largest providers of semiconductor and printed circuit board design software.
