TOKYO — Fujitsu has signed an agreement to integrate its signal integrity tools into Zuken's printed circuit board computer-aided design suite, the companies announced today. The deal applies only to the companies' Japanese customers.

No financial terms were announced for the deal, nor was a timeline for integration disclosed, other than an indication that Fujitsu's SignalAdviser-SI analysis system would be integrated with Zuken's CR-5000/BD-Viewer Advance system and CR-5000/Board Designer at some point "in the future."

However, the companies announced a target of 30 sets of products sold in fiscal 2011.

Zuken touts its CR-5000 suite as possibly the most successful PCB CAD tool in use today. Fujitsu's tool has been installed at about 140 companies. The combined suite would not significantly impact the signal integrity software standings, where Zuken is currently in third place, behind Mentor and Ansoft.
