ROCHESTER, NY – EMA Design has purchased
DesignAdvance, including all intellectual property,
for an undisclosed sum. The deal will strengthen EMA’s focus on PCB solutions, while building its EDA portfolio.
As part of the acquisition, EMA has hired key people responsible for the development and enhancement of DesignAdvance products, including Dr. Chandan Aladahalli, lead scientist and co-founder of the company. This will allow EMA to continue to develop the main products: CircuitSpace, CircuitProbe and CircuitPlan.
“The patented technology jointly developed by DesignAdvance and Carnegie Mellon University offers significant productivity enhancements for our PCB design customers,” said Manny Marcano, president and CEO of EMA.
