BERKELEY, CA -- JITX, a developer of a compiler that turns programming code into circuit board designs, has raised a $12 million in Series A funding.

Sequoia Capital led the investment, with participation from Y Combinator, Funders Club and Liquid 2.

Using a JITX programming language made for electrical engineers, users can leverage AI to design hardware. The JITX program is designed for ease-of-use and reuse. Design steps that used to be done manually are replaced by scripts that create designs automatically.

JITX is exhibiting at PCB West next month.
