TOKYO -- Zuken's first quarter net loss grew to 93,288 yen ($2.83 million) despite a 2.4% increase in sales.

The PCB design and wiring harness software developer reported sales of 4.59 billion yen ($44.3 million) for the period ended Mar 31.

The net loss rose 30% from the year-ago quarter, hurt by higher currency exchange losses.

Zuken said the first quarter saw gradual economic recovery in the US and Japan, but the Chinese economy and UK Brexit make the world's financial situation uncertain.
