Daat Research Corp. introduces Coolit v.9 thermal & flow analysis software. Reported to shorten modeling times, users can choose from several methods to build complex IC chip models.

They can use model constructors, create models from scratch using basic Coolit building blocks or choose them from the expanded IC Package library. Detailed IC package models are converted into compact resistor models with a click of a mouse.

Coolit v.9 incorporates a DELPHI option, allowing for specification of a resistor network using DELPHI methodology for generating environment-independent compact resistor models of IC packages. It also has a 14-resistor compact model that can be used for converting detailed models built in Coolit.

Features include numerous user interface and graphics enhancements and a 64-bit operating system for CoolPlot, Coolit’s graphics post-processor.
