Goepel Electronic has integrated Flying Probe Testing for the System Cascon Boundary Scan software platform.

The Flying Probe integration is compliant with Boundary Scan and non-Boundary Scan components and Automatic Test Program Generation (ATPG) that utilizes both Boundary Scan and Flying Probe access, automatic Pin Fault Diagnostic (PFD), graphical fault localization, and debugging.

“Flying Probe and Boundary Scan technologies are applied to solve problems related to reduced test access, and with our improved tools we not only set new standards for the flexible use of flying probes, but also resolved difficulties in these test applications caused by the limitations of probe access,” said Thomas Wenzel, managing director of the Boundary Scan division.

Tools for integration of Boundary Scan and Flying Probe tests are available with System Cascon 4.4.1 and can be activated via the software's license manager. The software release is free for all users with a valid maintenance contract.
