WILSONVILLE, OR - Mentor Graphics Corp. has announced the 2008 Integrated Electrical Solutions Forum
(IESF). The forum is a one-day event for electrical and electronic
systems design, modeling, simulation and analysis within the automotive
industry. This event has been expanded to include military and
aerospace events and new forums in Brazil, Japan and Korea.
The first IESF Military and Aerospace event will take place on May 1st
in Orlando, Florida. Registration for this event is now open at www.mentor.com/go/iesf.
The keynote speaker will be Walden C. Rhines, Mentor Graphics CEO and
Chairman. Guest speakers include representatives from Bell Helicopter,
Alliant Techsystems, Patmos Engineering Services, and IBM.
Technical
breakout tracks will focus on electrical design and simulation, covering
subjects such as IP capture, analysis-driven design and design data
integration. Additional tracks cover DO-254 safety critical systems and
PCB design for military and aerospace applications.
“Having attended IESF for the past few years I have found [that] the
presentations are of the highest standard, informative and thought
provoking. I particularly find the breakouts around the main agenda to
be very useful," said Kelly Esch of AM General.
Mentor Graphics also announced a ‘call for papers’ for the IESF Automotive and Off-Highway event to be held in Detroit on December 9th. For more information, go to www.mentor.com/go/iesf.
TOKYO, JAPAN – Valor Computerized Systems has established a technological partnership with Nagoya Electric of Japan, a developer of advanced Automatic Inspection equipment.
The alliance will allow users of Nagoya’s inspection machines to
reportedly shorten their setup time by accessing the ODB++ models of
the PCB and a specific layer of data that contains a representation of
component geometry based on Valor’s Part Library (VPL).
“We are pleased to welcome Nagoya Electric as a new member of our
Global Alliance Program,” said David Bengal, VP Marketing and Business
Development at Valor. “The Automatic Inspection market presents a great
opportunity for Valor. We believe that this partnership will bring new
added value to Nagoya’s large and loyal customer base.”
SAN JOSE, CA – Dr. Eric Bogatin will conduct two seminars covering signal integrity design principles. The first, entitled Essential Principles of Signal Integrity
will be held on April 7 and 8 and focuses on building “engineering
intuition” concerning signal integrity, and to reveal root causes and
resulting design guidelines to eliminate signal integrity problems.
The follow-up seminar on April 9 and 10 is called Best Board Design Practices,
which focuses on creating design rules by balancing performance
tradeoffs, and learning how to use calculations and analysis tools to
answer important design questions in stack up design, differential pair
routing, via design, PDN design and more.
The seminar will be held in the Altera Corporation building, located at 101 Innovation Drive in San Jose. Registration information can be found at www.BeTheSignal.com.
