BEAVERTON, ORMerix Corporation has hired George Dramowicz to a newly created position, vice president of quality. Mr. Dramowicz was most recently the director of corporate/global quality at Celestica International. Prior to Celestica, Dramowicz worked for Honeywell/Allied Signal, Canadian Marconi and Pratt & Whitney Canada. Dramowicz has engineering degrees from Warsaw Technical University and has attended the Management Institute at McGill University. Dramowicz joins recent hire, Steven Lach, the new vice president of North American operations. In January president and CEO, Michael Burger indicated the need for management changes after a disappointing second quarter.

 


 

SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIOMilplex Circuit (Canada) Inc. announces the appointment of Damon DeSilva as National Sales Manager. DeSilva will report to Natu Patel, president of Milplex Ciruits. DeSilva will be responsible for all outside sales including the managing of the independent representative sales network. DeSilva most recently worked for Sanmina. He brings years of expertise to Milplex Circuit (Canada) Inc. 
ANAHEIM, CAMulti-Fineline Electronix, Inc. announced it has expanded its board of directors from seven to nine and has named Reza Meshgin and Donald K. Schwanz as new directors. Meshgin was appointed as MFLEX’s CEO in March 2008. He joined MFLEX in 1989. He was named president and COO in December 2003. 
 
Phil Harding, chairman of MFLEX’s board of directors, said the company needed to expand the size of the board from seven to nine members to maintain a majority of independent directors, in accordance with the company's bylaws.
 
MFLEX also named Matthew Wolk as vice president corporate development and chief strategy officer. In this role Wolk will evaluate the company's business strategy and ensure MFLEX's decision making and operations are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
 
 

BOSTON - Rohm & Haas Co. named Pierre R. Brondeau president and COO. Brondeau most recently served as executive vice president and business group executive for Rohm & Haas.

The board of directors also approved the formation of a chairman's committee to oversee the direction of the company. The chairman's committee will be made up of Raj. L. Gupta, chairman and chief executive; Brondeau; and Jacques M. Croisetiere, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to Celestica, Dramowicz held management positions at Honeywell/Allied Signal, and Marconi and Pratt & Whitney of Canada. He was also on the faculty of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, holds engineering degrees from Warsaw Technical University, and has participated in the Management Institute at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
