NEW BEDFORD, MAEpec is celebrating its 60-year anniversary as the oldest printed circuit board company in North America, possibly in the world. 

Epec engineers and manufactures customized built-to-print electronic products, including printed circuit boards, flex and rigid-flex circuits, membrane switches, graphic overlays, silicone rubber keypads, custom battery packs, and EC fans and drives.

The firm has UL certified manufacturing operations in Shenzhen, Taipei, and North America.

TAIPEI -- Unitech's decision to add capacity here instead of mainland China has a curious reasoning to it: labor rates.

MINNEAPOLISPrinted Circuits has expanded its PCB manufacturing facility, adding new equipment and increasing innerlayer capacity.

The company has installed and qualified new conveyorized wet processing equipment from Chemcut, including a chemical clean line, cupric chloride etcher and resist stripper. Each line is equipped with Chemcut’s thin material transport system. The additional lines will enable higher volume production, Printed Circuits said.

Printed Circuits manufactures multilayer flex and rigid-flex printed circuit boards.

ESPOO, FINLAND -- An Aspocomp Group subsidiary has purchased the Teuva, Finland, business operations of PCB fabricator Cibo-Print Oy in exchange for stock and cash considerations. It marks the second time Aspocomp has owned the printed circuit board fabrication company.

ANAHEIM, CA -- DDi Corp. this month will invest $7.5 million on a new headquarters and manufacturing site here, the company said today.
