TINLEY PARK, IL – During a networking event at the PCB East 2008 conference, attendees had the opportunity to meet well-respected PCB industry authors. Charles Pfeil, Mentor Graphics, a conference speaker and columnist for Printed Circuit Design and Fab, distributed signed copied of his recently released book, BGA Breakout and Routing. The 165-page book, published by Mentor Graphics, looks at high pin-count BGAs, and provides solutions to the design challenges presented by implementation of this growing technology.

Ralph Morrison presented his book, Grounding and Shielding – Circuits and Interference, 5th Edition. This edition shows designers how to use basic principles to solve problems related to signal and energy transfer on circuit boards. The book is the basis of a two day course on digital circuits and digital systems presented at PCB East

Clyde F. Coombs, Jr. talked about the latest update to The Printed Circuits Handbook, 6th Edition. The 1350-page book includes many new and revised chapters covering the latest in PCB technology from HDI fabrication to managing the RoHS lead-free initiative. Industry experts including Happy Holden, Mentor Graphics, another speaker at the PCB East conference, contributed to this latest edition.
TINLEY PARK, IL – The PCB East 2008 conference and exhibition moved into full swing today with the opening of the exhibition and Free Tuesday conference sessions. The morning sessions began with a panel discussion on Next-Generation EDA Tools. Panelists How-Siang Yap of Agilent, Josh Moore of Cadence, John Isaac of Mentor and Nikola Kontic of Zuken talked about challenges facing today's PCB designers.
