SAN JOSE — North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers reported slightly higher February bookings based on a 90-day average calculated by SEMI.
Manufacturers said worldwide orders reached $1.31 billion in February, up 1% over last year. Orders were down 1.3% from the revised January figure.
The three-month average worldwide billings was $1.28 billion, down 0.2% from the final January level and 0.9% lower than February 2014.
The book-to-bill ratio was 1.02, meaning $102 worth of orders were received for every $100 of product billed for the month.
The SEMI book-to-bill is a ratio of three-month moving averages of worldwide bookings and billings for North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Billings and bookings figures are in millions of U.S. dollars.
