Report: Flex Market Dialing Up Big Gains

SAN JOSE -- Flexible printed circuit board demand will exceed $16 billion by 2015, according to a new research report.

Communications continues to be the largest end-use market on growing demand for mobile phones. Consumer electronics is expected to emerge as the fastest-growing end-market, however, says Global Industry Analysts.

Asia-Pacific represents the largest and fastest-growing market, followed by Japan.

Among the market leaders are 3M, Career Technology, Flexible Circuit Technologies, Fujikura, Innovex, MFS Technology, Molex, Multek, Multi-Fineline Electronix (M-Flex), Nippon Mektron, Nitto Denko, Northpoint Technologies, Sony Chemical, Si Flex, Shindo Electric, and Sumitomo Bakelite.
