GARBSEN, GERMANY – LPKF reported record revenue of EUR 115 million for 2012, up 26% year-over-year.

EBIT came in at EUR 20 million, a year-over-year increase of 34%.

The company reported revenue of EUR 33 million and EBIT of EUR 6 million for the fourth quarter, stronger than expected.

2012 was impacted by a major order from the solar energy industry. The largest source of revenue in the Electronics Production Equipment segment was the business with laser direct structuring systems, which picked up momentum in the year’s second half, the firm says. Laser systems for depaneling circuit boards (PCB Production Equipment) also performed well.

The company is expecting a noticeable drop in revenue in its Solar Module Equipment business in 2013. LPKF expects revenues of EUR 115 to EUR 120 million for 2013.
