FULLERTON, CA – John Copp, the founder of OEM Press Systems, passed away after an extended battle with cancer, the firm says.

Copp was born in Peoria, IL, and earned his ME at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy.  He joined Goodyear after college and traveled the world for 11 years making tires for Formula One and Indy racing cars. After a number of years managing a Goodyear plant in Jakarta, he and his wife Phyllis returned to the US. Copp then founded OEM Press Systems.

Donations can be made in his honor to The Jonny Copp Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in the memory of Copp’s son, Jonathan Copp:  www.jonnycoppfoundation.org.
