Getty Named to Run March Plasma

WESTLAKE, OH -- Nordson has promoted Dr. James Getty to president of its March business unit.

Getty replaces Peter Bierhuis, who has been named president of Nordson Asymtek. Bierhuis had been president of the plasma processing equipment OEM since 1999 and with Nordson since 1980.

Getty, March's vice president of applications and business development, joined Nordson in 2000. He has been responsible for the development and introduction of numerous products and the continued penetration of the printed circuit board, semiconductor and life sciences markets. He has a bachelor's in chemistry and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California at Davis.
