TAOYUAN CITY – Win Semiconductors plans to spend NT$2.1 billion (US$76.4 million) to increase its stake in copper-clad laminate manufacturer Iteq, with the intent to expand the firms’ partnership for 5G and autonomous vehicles, according to reports.
Win Semiconductors said it would acquire some 16.34 million shares of Iteq at NT$130 per share, increasing Win’s stake in Iteq to over 17% from nearly 13%.
Win is the largest stakeholder in Iteq.
The deal is part of Iteq’s NT$6.5 billion fundraising plan.
