Dynamic Electronics to Lay Off Most of Staff

TAOYUAN, TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Dynamic Electronics Taoyuan told the local government it will cut 85% of its workforce in October, according to media reports.

The PCB fabricator will fire 420 employees, on Oct. 15, Central News Agency reported, citing Taoyuan City Government filings. No rationale was provided for the mass layoffs.

The move comes as many larger PCB fabricators are expanding in Taiwan to take advantage of the US-China tariff war. 

Dynamic, which was founded in 1988, employs 490 workers in Taiwan.
