MYSURU, INDIA – The Indian government has set up as many as nine vision groups to focus on development in the area, one dedicated to growth in the semiconductor arena.
An Integrated Board and Chips Manufacturing Cluster is being developed in Mysuru, the first IC cluster in the country.
As many as 28 industries are dedicated to manufacturing PCBs here, according to reports, with these industries expected to be included in the cluster. AT&S is said to be involved, with the government also planning to invite firms such as Texas Instruments and Siemens.
The cluster has yet to be finalized.
