AUSTIN, TX -- National Instruments today announced September quarter net income fell 35% from a year ago to $15.8 million. The quarterly revenue of $289 million was up a fraction from a year ago, and $9 million above the midpoint of the company's July guidance.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Agilent announced the RF and Microwave Industry-Ready Student Certification program, a collaboration between universities and industry, to recognize students who have demonstrated RF/MW design and measurement expertise. Nearly two dozen of the top engineering universities in the US and Canada are in the process of enrolling in the program, the company said.
