ORMOND BEACH, FL - Engelmaier Associates has announced the release of version v.08 of the White Paper titled: "Recommendations for PCB FAB Notes and Specifications in Printed Circuit Board Drawings for SnPb and Lead-Free Soldering Assemblies, the Qualification of PCB Shops and Activities to Assure Continued Quality."

The report covers problems in electronic product reliability caused by the change to lead-free solders as it concerns PCB fabrication. As indicated by the title, recommendations are made regarding appropriate specifications and ‘FAB Notes’ on drawings for printed circuit boards (PCBs), general procedures to qualify PCB shops, and the assurance of producing good quality PCBs, with testing procedures to verify quality and reliability.
Version v.08 includes 29 specific FAB Notes, many with sub-notes, for the specification of PCBs to be utilized in lead-free solder assemblies.

DENVER, CO – PCB Manufacturer RJR Circuits, Inc. has earned its 9^th Gold Award from the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District “for 100% compliance with industrial pretreatment requirements and a dedicated commitment to environmental excellence for 2007.”

The award is given to companies that show a perfect record of compliance with industrial wastewater permits issued by the Denver Metro District, indicating a conscientious attention to environmental concerns.

SHANGHAI - The electronics industry descended on Shanghai this week as four major exhibitions staged a convergence of programs.

MILPITAS, CA - Flex Interconnect Technologies (FIT) announced that its Quality Management System is certified to AS9100 revision B standards. The AS9100 revision B is a standard developed by International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQC).

The certification was granted after an audit by Intertek Systems, one of the most reputed registrars of aerospace standards. Flex Technologies reportedly passed the audit with a perfect 100% score.

“Getting AS9100 certification is a great achievement, and puts us amongst a select few PCB companies in the world with such certification,” said FIT president Chetan Shah. “It demonstrates our commitment to quality and on-time delivery, and solidifies our place as a world class manufacturer for the Aerospace and Defense industries.”
