FRANKFURT – PCB sales among German manufacturers rose 9% sequentially in September and 37% year-over-year, according to ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems.

Bookings rose 5% sequentially and 26% from last year.

The book-to-bill ratio fell to 0.92, as sales outpaced shipments. A ratio of 0.92 means that for every 100 euros of shipments, 92 euros worth of orders were placed. A ratio under 1.0 is considered a sign of a declining market.

Through September, year-to-date sales are up 35% from last year, while bookings are almost twice that of last year.
