SINGAPORE – PCB maker Compeq Manufacturing returned to profit in the third quarter with net income of $3.6 million. The firm registered losses in the previous five quarters.

Compeq had a $1.01 million loss on operating activities, offset by equity method gains from the fabricator’s China plant.

Improved yield rates in the production of HDI boards and falling raw material prices helped reduce production costs during the quarter.

Compeq had losses of $19.1 million for the first three quarters of 2010.
