PYLMOUTH, MA -- Weiner International Associates has appointed Dr. Karl H. Dietz senior associate.

Dr. Dietz is a well known expert in the area of material and process technology for printed circuit boards and substrates. He will focus on evaluating and interpreting global technology requirements, and installing and troubleshooting fine-line processes for PWB fabrication.

Dietz spent 43 years at DuPont in a variety of managerial positions in chemical and electronics materials. he has written, presented and published nearly 300 papers on materials and process technology for PCBs and substrates, and authored Dry Film Photoresist Processing Technology.

He served as DuPont’s representative at ITRI (Taiwan’s Interconnect Research Institute), and was named by PC FAB Magazine and ATOMIC 29 as one of the 50 most influential people in the PCB industry. He is the recipient of DuPont Electronics’ Winning Spirit Award and recently was awarded Best Technical Paper at the Electronic Circuits World Convention in Shanghai.

After retiring this month from DuPont, he founded Karl Dietz Consulting LLC. He holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Frankfurt University in Germany.
