SMYRNA, GA – Attendance soared at the PCB West trade show held last week, with the number of visitors rising 25.7% from last year.

Conference attendance rose 35% year-over-year, according to UP Media Group, which produces the annual Silicon Valley trade show.

Overall attendee registration jumped 20.4%, as the industry responded with vigor to the strong lineup of exhibitors, complemented by an outstanding technical program.

PCB West was held September 28 – 30 at the Santa Clara (CA) Convention Center and was sponsored by the UP Media Group publications PRINTED CIRCUIT DESIGN & FAB and CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY.

The show also drew a varied international population, attracting registrants from such places as Germany, New Zealand and Turkey.

“We are pleased and humbled at the response the industry showed,” said Mike Buetow, editorial director of UP Media Group. “It was standing-room only for many sessions, as we were again reminded of the need for clear, in-depth information on today’s design and manufacturing hurdles.”

In its 19th year, PCB West provides show attendees – printed circuit board (PCB) engineers, designers, fabricators, assemblers and managers – with the most targeted conference in the PCB design industry.

PCB West 2010 included a three-day technical conference consisting of more than 30 presentations, including 10 workshops, panel sessions and half-day seminars; a one-day exhibition, featuring the PCB industry's leading vendors, and an array of free technical sessions.
