FRANKFURT, GERMANY -- German printed circuit board fabricators reported revenues rose 5.9% in July over last year. Orders plunged 21.5% year-over-year, however, said the Central Association of PCB and Electronic Systems (ZVEI).

The July book-to-bill ratio was 0.86, meaning that 100 euros worth of boards were shipped for every 86 euros worth of new orders.

The number of employees at German fab shops was slightly up from June on normal seasonality.
