LYNCHBURG, VA -- Epec Engineered Technologies has acquired fellow printed circuit board fabricator Waytec Electronics, the companies said today.

No financial or other terms were disclosed. It is the second acquisition by Epec in the past two weeks: On May 18, the firm bought FM Circuits.

In a press statement, Waytec chairman and founder Wayne Booth said, “After manufacturing printed circuit boards in Lynchburg for more than 30 years, and having considered several alternative strategies, we decided that it was necessary to join a financially strong company with leading edge technology, which has the scale and global manufacturing operations to grow our long established business.”

Waytec Lynchburg-based engineering and customer service teams will remain intact, the companies said.
