BANNOCKBURN, IL — The founder and director of Google Ideas at Google and now CEO of Jigsaw will keynote next year's IPC Apex Expo trade show.

Jared Cohen, who is a former advisor to two US Secretaries of State, author and member of the Council on Foreign Relations, will present “Game Changers: Technology and the Next Big Disruptions” at the annual convention. IPC Apex Expo 2018 takes place in late February in San Diego.

According to Cohen, technology is reshaping nearly every aspect of our lives, especially business, communications, entertainment and politics. After studying at Stanford and Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, Cohen became the youngest person to serve on the US State Department’s Policy Planning Staff. In 2010, he was recruited by Google’s then-CEO Eric Schmidt, whom Cohen currently advises, to create Google Ideas, Google’s influential think tank expanded to become the technology incubator know known as Jigsaw and housed in Google’s parent company.

In his presentation, Cohen will draw on his extensive travel and first-hand accounts of some of the most important and emerging trends in technology to reveal how current issues matter to the electronics industry. He will also provide his insights into the complex world of technology and offer a glimpse into the future.
