inspectAR 2.0 has an upgraded algorithm used to track AR overlays onto PCBs.

Calibration process is similar to previous release; take a picture of front and back of PCB and confirm its outline. Enter AR view of board; see tracking and enhanced camera features. Tracking is more robust to variance in lighting, shadows, and rotation. Recalibration is recommended once around 20-30% of PCB’s area has changed. Once PCB has been recalibrated, new tracking technology provides alignment. Overlays will stay aligned as PCB is rotated to high angle of rotation. Includes new camera control features, including stabilization. Includes anti-jitter algorithm that stops overlays from shaking and puts them back in their place. Multiple methods of zooming are offered, including camera zoom, freeze zoom, and stretch zoom. Comes with automatic and manual focus modes. Has new user interface; can access features via side toolbar on left of screen and toolbar on top of screen. Active overlays window helps manage overlays. Can hide and delete overlays, as well as globally change layer colors and overlay transparency. Add overlays window is hybrid of search menu. Overlays added here will appear in active overlays window. Can select multiple overlays at once and add them as batch or individually. Free and pro users can now upload KiCAD and Eagle projects with no per-project charge. No limit on board area or layer count.
