ELMHURST, IL -- The global printed circuit board market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 62% between 2011 and 2015, a new research report predicts.

TechNavio credits increasing amounts of electronics content in automobiles for the rosy forecast. The research firm says miniaturization is also a driver, although "the increasing production cost could pose a challenge to the growth of this market."

The growth rate would be considered highly optimistic by other analysts, most of whom forecast CAGRs of less than 30% during the forecast period.
