MUNICH--There are no signs that the PCB market in Germany is improving, according to the German Printed Circuit Association (VdL) and the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (ZVEI).

December sales fell 34.6% compared to November, and incoming orders were no better, reaching 27% of incoming orders for October, according to VdL and ZVEI.

Book-to-bill was at 0.68, its lowest value since 1994. Workforce numbers continue to drop, and further job cuts are expected in the next several month.

Poor sales for December can be blamed on the long factory holidays and the traditional lackluster business performance for the month, reports VdL and ZVEI.
