WASHINGTON – Global semiconductor industry sales reached a record high in November, totaling $75.3 billion, according to new data released by the Semiconductor Industry Association. The result marked a 29.8% increase compared with November 2024 and a 3.5% rise from October, representing the highest monthly sales total ever recorded by the industry.
SIA said demand increased across all major product categories on a month-to-month basis, supporting continued momentum heading into the new year. Monthly sales figures are based on a three-month moving average compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics organization.
SIA President and CEO John Neuffer said the November performance reflects broad-based strength across the global chip market. He added that the semiconductor industry is projected to grow substantially this year, with annual sales expected to approach $1 trillion.
Regionally, year-over-year sales growth was strongest in Asia Pacific and other regions, which rose 66.1%, followed by the Americas at 23.0%, China at 22.9%, and Europe at 11.1%. Japan was the only region to report a decline, with sales down 8.9% compared to the prior year. On a month-to-month basis, sales increased in all regions except Japan, which saw a slight 0.1% decline.
