AURORA, CO -- Advanced Circuits' parent company today said the PCB firm's sales fell 1.7% year-over-year in 2014.

The company, which operates three facilities in the US, had revenues of $85.9 million, down from $87.4 million in 2013. Operating income slipped 1.7% to $22.5 million.

For the year, small-run orders made up 23.5% of sales, quickturn programs made up 31.3%, and volume orders (including production) made up 44.9%. Third-party sales (brokered boards) made up 0.3%. During fiscal 2014, Advanced Circuits did business with over 11,000 customers and added over 180 new customers per month

Compass acquired Advanced Circuits in May 2006. The firm was launched in 1989 through the acquisition of Denver-based Seiko Circuits, and moved to Aurora in 2002. In March 2010, Advanced Circuits acquired Tempe, AZ-based Circuit Express for approximately $16.1 million, and in May 2012 it acquired Universal Circuits for $2.3 million.
