TAIPEI – Production value for Taiwan's printed circuit board makers could be higher than the last three years in the third quarter with the launch of new smartphones, says the Industrial Economics & Knowledge Center, according to reports.

Revenue is expected to grow 8.3% sequentially to $4.9 billion in the July to September period, the firm says.

In the second quarter, PCB revenue in Taiwan increased 9.4% sequentially and 6% annually to hit $3.5 billion.

For 2014, production of Taiwan's PCBs is expected to increase 5.13% year-over-year to $14.2 billion.
