GARBSEN, GERMANYLPKF Laser & Electronics reported revenue up 21% year-over-year to EUR 99.5 million for the first nine months of 2013.

At EUR 19.5 million, EBIT for the first nine months of the year was up 31.8% year-over-year.

Orders on hand amounted to EUR 18.7 million, down from the prior year figure of EUR 27.6 million, which was impacted by a solar order that has been largely completed in the current financial year, the firm says.

Incoming orders were EUR 83.9 million for the period, down slightly from EUR 84.9 million in the prior-year nine-month period.

“Thanks to our surprisingly strong business with systems for laser direct structuring, we are now able to raise our forecast for 2013 slightly once again. We estimate that revenue will reach EUR 126 million to EUR 130 million and that the EBIT margin will be around 17%,” said Dr. Ingo Bretthauer, CEO of LPKF.

In 2014, revenue is expected to be between EUR 132 million and EUR 140 million, and in 2015 and 2016, revenue is expected to grow by an average of 10% per year.
