SHANGHAI – Printed circuit board maker Shanghai Unitech Electronics said it has returned to profitability, with net profits of $2.7 million for first half of 2012.
The company says it has been improving its product mix to offset the previous slowdown in handset PCB orders.
The company’s handset PCB segment now accounts for less than 30% of company revenues. Auto PCB sales remain at about 30%, and PCBs used in POS devices have climbed to 40%, says the firm.
Shanghai Unitech expects to meet its profit target for 2012 of $3.1 million, say published reports.
