TAIPEI – Taiwan's printed circuit board industry is expected to grow faster than those of other regions, the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association says.

Taiwan PCB fabricators are collectively expected to grow 6.5% year-over-year on demand for smartphones, tablets and cloud computing services.

Taiwan surpassed Japan as the largest manufacturer of PCBs in 2011, as Japanese producers were affected by the March earthquake and floods in Thailand.
