MELVILLE, NY -- Park Electrochemical, which sources a "significant amount" of raw materials used in its products are sourced from suppliers based in Japan, today said it could not provide insight as to how its supply chain might be affected by last weeks' earthquake.

In a statement, the printed circuit board laminate supplier said, "Due to the difficulty in obtaining meaningful information regarding the conditions in Japan, the company cannot at this time provide more information about the impact of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami on its suppliers in Japan. The company continues to investigate and evaluate the status and condition of its suppliers in Japan and to assess the potential impact to Park of the earthquake and tsunami."

Park, the parent of Nelco and Neltec, has donated $250,000 to relief work in Japan.
