FRANKFURT, GERMANY – Sales by German PCB fabricators rose 28.6% year-over-year in November, a domestic trade group said.
New orders rose 16% sequentially but fell 16% from 2009, according to ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems.
Through Nov. 30, sales were up 33% from 2009, and total orders were the highest recorded since 2001.
The book-to-bill ratio was 0.79, meaning that for every 100 euros worth of printed circuit boards shipped, 79 euros worth were ordered. A ratio over 1.0 is considered a sign of future market growth. For the year through November, the book-to-bill ratio was 1.19.
