TAIPEI -- Prices are on the rise for some products as major PCB manufacturers cope with higher raw material costs, according to published reports.
Unimicron Technology, Gold Circuit, HannStar Board and Global Brand Manufacture (GBM) are among those fabricators said to be raising prices, DigiTimes is reporting.
Fabricators are facing higher pricing for copper foil and laminate, and more inflation is on the horizon. Also affecting end-product price are various currency fluctuations between the Taiwanese dollar and the US dollar, the media outlet said.
The reports indicate some price hikes will take place later this quarter and are in the range of 5%.
