MIGDAL HAEMEK, ISRAEL -- AOI OEM Camtek Ltd. promoted Roy Porat chief executive, succeeding Rafi Amit.

Amit will become chairman, replacing Yotam Stern, who will remain a board member.

Porat has been with the company since 2001, for the past two years as general manager.

In a statement, Amit said, "Since joining the company ten years ago, [Porat] has accumulated a very extensive knowledge and expertise in all areas of Camtek's business and has demonstrated a strong vision and leadership that make him ideally suited to the position of chief executive.

Camtek makes inspection equipment for semiconductors, printed circuit boards and IC substrates.
