SCHRAMBERG, GERMANY -- Schweizer Electronic reported first-half revenue of 50.8 million euros, up 80% year-over-year on strong demand from automotive and industrial customers.

EBIT for the period was 10.1 million euros, and the margin was 19.9%. Including one-time charges, EBIT was 5.8 million euros, from a loss of 5.7 million euros in 2009. Adjusted EBIT margin was 11.5%, up from a loss of 20.2%.

Automotive sales rose 60%, while industrial customers, including solar, doubled during the period.

Schweizer’s sales by segment are 49.6% automotive, 42.8% industrial/solar, and 7.6% other.

Schweizer Electronic is one of Europe’s oldest printed circuit board fabricators.
