FOREST GROVE, OR -- Merix forecast earnings of $9 million for the quarter ended Nov. 28, reversing losses from a year ago and last quarter, on sales of $71 million.

The fabricator formally announces its second-quarter revenues and earnings next month.

Merix preannounced earnings of $9 million, reversing its fiscal first-quarter loss of $8.2 million. Merix lost $6.1 million loss a year ago. The company predicted fiscal second-quarter sales would rise 23% sequentially to $71 million, but that's still 7.7% lower than the year-ago quarter.
