MELVILLE, NY -- Park Electrochemical today reported third-quarter sales of $46.1 million, up 8.5% sequentially.

For the period ended Nov. 29, sales were down 6.2% from a year ago. Net earnings were $7.2 million, up from net earnings of $2.9 million last year. Last quarter the maker of laminates reported net income of $4.76 million.

Gross profit as a percentage of sales was 29.9%, up from 19.9% last year.

Park sells laminates under the Nelco brand.
