FOREST GROVE, OR -- Merix's plant here has received AS9100 certification, the company said today.

AS9100 is an international aerospace quality standard covering quality management system and processes.

Merix says the decision to pursue AS9100 reflects a change in product mix from communications toward aerospace and military. The fabricator also has obtained MIL-PRF-31032 certification for both its North American facilities.

"This is an important milestone for our company, particularly as the aerospace industry recognizes the importance of AS9100 certification and its impact on improving quality within the supply chain," said Michael D. "Receiving the AS9100 certification underscores the growing success of our military and aerospace strategy, and it is a testament to the strength of our quality and management systems and to our employees."
