WESTPORT, CT -- PWB fabricator Advanced Circuits reported second-quarter revenue fell 24.5% to $10.8 million for the period ended June 30.

The company cited the economic slowdown for the sales drop.

Income from operations was $4.4 million, down from $4.5 million in 2008.

Year-to-date revenues are $22.8 million, down 20.3% year-over-year. Income from operations is down 13% to $8 million.

The firm said it has seen strong demand for prototype and quickturn PCBs and expect sales in these categories for the remainder of fiscal 2009 to be slightly down from the prior year.

Advanced Circuits recently completed its acquisition of Circuit Board Express. According to Joe Massoud, CEO of Compass Diversified Holdings, Advanced Circuits' parent company, further acquisitions will be considered.
