BIRMINGHAM, UK – Fujitsu announced that is will move between 110 and 140 jobs at Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe in Birmingham, to Fujitsu Network Communications in Texas.

The company has reported that it will transfer its production of printed circuit boards to the Richardson, Texas location, while still maintaining its assembly, test, configuration and staging facilities in the U.K.

Tony Oppenheim, COO in Birmingham, said moving PCB production to the Richardson plant in Texas would consolidate its manufacturing activities and help to maintain the company’s competitive position in an increasingly global telecommunications market.
