WASHINGTON – SEMI announced that global semiconductor equipment billings reached $33.07 billion in the second quarter, representing a 24% year-over-year increase and a 3% quarter-over-quarter gain. The strong results were driven by demand for advanced logic and high-bandwidth memory (HBM) DRAM applications, alongside increased shipments to Asia.
For the first half of the year, global semiconductor equipment revenue surpassed $65 billion, building on record billings of $117 billion in 2024. SEMI president and CEO Ajit Manocha highlighted continued investment in production capacity to support innovation in AI-driven applications and efforts to strengthen regional supply chain resilience.
The figures were released in SEMI’s Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Market Statistics (WWSEMS) Report, which compiles data from SEMI members and the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ). The report tracks billings by region and market segment, providing insight into industry trends and investment flows.
With chipmakers accelerating investments in advanced technology nodes and memory, SEMI expects continued growth momentum in equipment demand through the year.
